We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Longarm Quilter to join our creative team! Ideal candidates will be passionate about quilting, self-motivated, and excited to help customers bring their projects to life with expert quilting services. This role is a great fit for someone who loves fabric, design, and working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in customer intake and pick-up of quilts with friendly and professional service.
  • Collaborate with customers to select appropriate quilting designs, threads, batting, and backing options that suit their projects. Support fabric selection and design advice, as needed.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and loading of quilt tops, backings, and batting on the longarm machine(s).
  • Operate and maintain longarm quilting machines (manual and/or computerized) to complete customer quilts with precision and care.
  • Monitor machine performance during quilting and troubleshoot minor issues or escalate when needed.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning on quilting machines as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of quilts in progress and completed work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe longarm quilting area.
  • Assist in store events, promotions, and creative community activities, such as quilt shows or longarm demos.
  • Sales and service of Longarm Quilting machines.
  • Install and training of Longarm Quilting machines in customers’ homes.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and performs Retails Sales Associate duties as requested.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience operating longarm quilting machines (manual or computerized) is desired.
  • Understanding of quilting techniques, thread types, batting options, and fabric behavior.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye for design.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic math proficiency with ability to measure and calculate quilt dimensions and pricing (including tax) on intake forms or sales contracts manually and in point-of-sale system.  Accepts payment and makes appropriate change.
  • Be on feet for hours at a time. Bend down and reach above head. Push/pull merchandise on equipment
  • Lift, place and arrange items on shelves, racks or carts.  Individually be able to lift up to 25 lbs and group lift up to 75 lbs (under 2 lbs on a constant basis, 25 lbs on a frequent basis, 25-49 lbs on an occasional basis, and 50-75 lbs on an infrequent basis).
  • Ability to work a minimum of three days/week including Saturdays.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Retail or customer service experience is a plus.
