Clothing Fundamentals - Comfy Pajama Pants
Experience the joy of making your own clothing in a fun, supportive environment! You'll create a custom pair of pajama pants while learning essential garment sewing techniques and build the confidence to take on future sewing projects.
This class is perfect for beginner sewists and experienced sewists who haven't yet made garments. We welcome anyone over the age of 10 to join us for this class, but request that if the student is between the ages of 10 and 14, a parent or guardian stays with them to assist with the project for the entirety of the class.
Materials needed:
*Pattern for pants (available soon!)
*2 3/4 yards of fabric (cotton or cotton flannel, prewashed is highly encouraged)
*Coordinating all-purpose polyester thread
*1 package of non-roll elastic (1 in wide)
*Basic Sewing Supplies including scissors, pins or clips, seam ripper, fabric marking pen, measuring tape, sewing gauge or clear ruler
Note: a minimum of 5 students will be required for this class to run. Invite your friends to join you and learn together!
Sewing machines are available for rent for the day of the class. Please call the store to reserve your machine at 815.729.1600.
