Spend 2 days making a fun whimsical banner to display in your sewing room! So many different techniques will be taught in this project! You will use Momento to cut out wool felt for 3 dimensional flowers. Applique in the hoop, use the Create Applique program to make letters and do buttonholes in the hoop. Then “dress” an embroidered dress form with a one of a kind embellished skirt using decorative stitches! Finish with the quilt binder attachment to put it all together!

| Instructor Bio: | Jeanne is an Independent Educator for SVP. As a child, she started sewing with her mother, a Home Economics teacher. The garments she made won numerous awards in both 4-H and the National Wool Competitions. Her enjoyment for fabrics led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Textile Science from Purdue University. Utilizing her degree, she has worked at a yarn dyeing factory and as a Textile and Coatings Application Chemist for Ciba Specialty Chemicals. After using her mother’s embroidery machine and the associated embroidery software, Jeanne started to pursue her new passion, machine embroidery. This passion expanded to include quilting, machine applique, paper piecing, crafting and embroidery. For the past 20 years, she has used this passion to teach others, from beginners to experts, how to utilize their machines and software. She is a Sulky certified instructor as well as designing numerous unique designs. She utilizes technology to simplify multiple aspects of the sewing process. Her unique teaching style and patience allows students to understand and utilize various techniques with great success. Jeanne’s students always learn something new, and she freely shares her knowledge with her students. |
