Hoopsisters Hugs & Kisses Wall Hanging

Learn how to create a Hoopsisters Valentine wall hanging using your embroidery machine. You will learn how to do machine embroidery applique, quilting in the hoop and using Battilizer instead of stabilizer and batting. Information will be given on assembly of the wall hanging and final quilting.

Needed Supplies:
Embroidery machine with power cord/foot control
90/14 machine embroidery needles
90/14 universal or top stitch needle for assembly of top and final quilting
Recommended hoops: For X, O, heart and top and bottom borders - 200x200 or 260x200 hoop
For side borders - 240x150 hoop minimum or 360x200 hoop
For corners - 120x120 hoop or 260x260 or 360x200 hoop.

Hoopsisters pattern - Hugs & Kisses Embroidery designs for the wall hanging should be preloaded on your machine prior to class in your machine format
Fabric kit or fabric indicated in the pattern. NOTE: all fabrics should be precut and labeled according to directions on the supply list provided on the pattern USB prior to coming to class. It will also be helpful for you to print out the instructions prior to class or to have them on a device, eg a phone or tablet that you can access during class.

60 weight white embroidery bobbin thread wound on several bobbins
Regular 50 weight neutral sewing thread and bobbin to assemble top

Recommended but not required: Hoopsisters Trimmer by George and 60 mm rotary cutter (you must use a 60mm rotary cutter with the Trimmer) Rotary cutting mat and rotary cutter; Rotary ruler

| Skill Details: | You will learn skills of hooping stabilizer and doing applique blocks in the hoop. You will also learn about quilting in the hoop. You will be making several blocks, like a tile scene, and tips will be provided on how to sew these blocks together and how to quilt the backing to the top of the quilt in the ditch. |
