In this Week Long Camp students will learn the steps of quilt making while making a lap size quilt.
Monday -Students select four coordinating fabrics and a fabric for the quilt border. Students will learn how to read a quilt pattern and how a rotary cutter and quilting ruler are used. Students will begin sewing their strips together.
Tuesday- Students will finish sewing the strips, cut and assemble the blocks for the quilt top.
WEDNESDAY-CLOSED
Thursday- Students finish sewing borders to your quilt top; layer the finished quilt top with batting and backing fabric.
Friday- Students will learn straight line quilting and how a quilt is finished by attaching the binding.
Students will need to bring a Packed Lunch and a water bottle. NO NUTS PLEASE!

Skill Details: | Camp is designed for children ages 9-14 who have some knowledge of sewing. Students must have attended two previous Kids Creative Classes. |
Requirements: | Campers are to bring; Sharp scissors, thread snips, white and black good quality threads, fine (glass bead head) straight pins, a seam ripper and pin cushion. If you are bringing your own machine you will need the 1/4 inch foot, and extra bobbins. |
