Would you like to learn to stitch a wearable cross-body bag and only use the embroidery function of your machine? If so, let's join the craze! Using an embroidery design, we will work through the multiple parts to stitch a cross-body bag with 2 zippers all in-the-hoop.
You must purchase the design from Embroidery Garden (CRSSBDYBGS) before coming to class.
Your sewing/embroidery machine in good working condition with power cord, foot control and embroidery unit. If you are making the 8 inch by 10 inch bag, you will need the 360mm x 200mm hoop. You will need your embroidery foot and a sewing foot for this project (I recommend the edge-stitching foot and a regular sewing foot). Purchase the design (CRSSBDYBGS) from Embroidery Garden before coming to class and print the instruction sheets. Be sure to copy the designs onto your USB stick. We will be making the 8 inch by 10-1/2 inch bag in class, so please bring the supplies as listed on the instruction sheets. You may substitute felt (available at Roberts) for the Pellon 988. Please have all fabrics pre-cut and labeled before coming to class. Good quality poly or Aurifil thread for both needle and bobbin to match your main fabric - you will not want bobbin weight thread for the structure of this bag. Also please bring Sulky KK2000, painter's tape and 2 D-Rings.
